Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday was an eventful service featuring a Parade of Palms, a wonderfully entertaining song by the Sunday School children and a quilt blessing.

Crocheted blankets

Following the January 3rd service, all of the Sunday School children were presented with hand-crocheted blankets lovingly made by Monique Thibault during the Fall and early Winter. The excitement of the surprise gifts coupled with their beautiful designs made it a very special time for everyone. Just click on the image below for a larger picture.

Quilt blessing

At a special service on Nov. 15, visiting AMiA Missionary Bishop David "Doc" Loomis blessed eight quilts made by the Sewing Seeds group that meets on Monday afternoons in the kitchen of the Church hall at 91 Bruce Street. Most of the quilts are destined for the Quilts of Valour - Canada program which supplies quilts to the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who have been injured in the line of duty. Not just some other pretty faces!

The only person in the group below who knew anything about clowning a mere two months ago is the one in street clothes, Carol Simone (a.k.a. Blossom the Clown). She has conducted free clown classes during August and September on Monday nights from 7:00 - 9:00. The results speak for themselves as the graduates appear in full costume. Classes conclude on October 12.

Surprise Visit

At an early June worship service boys and girls and children of all ages were entertained and edified by a rousing and wonderfully heartening message from Blossom the Clown. Blossom runs the clown ministry at the Brantford General Hospital and will be holding free clown workshops. See our Calendar of events for details.

Service of Ordination, Reception and Commissioning

Bishop Alexis Bilindabagabo and Rev. Susan Zakamarko

On April 19, we were joined by Bishop Alexis Bilindabagabo, Province of Rwanda, as well as Canon Missioners Barclay Mayo (ACiC) and Doc Loomis (AMiA) as we praised God and welcomed those striving to do His work on earth.

Here is a partial look at what took place:

     • Bishop Alexis Bilindabagabo ordained our own Rev. Susan Zakamarko to the Priesthood.

- On behalf of the Province of Rwanda, the Anglican Mission & the ACiC Bishop Alexis and Canon Barclay:

     • Commissioned Donna Purkis as Lay Catechist to care for the emerging Bradford Ontario church        plant, St. Patricks Anglican Mission, Bradford.

     • Received the Rev. Fred Carson as a Priest in the ACiC & Honorary Assistant at St. Barnabas,        Waterford.

The service was followed by a time of fellowship and an evening meal was provided by the congregation for everyone. Here are some pictures of this wonderful service.
